What is Muhamor?

A community platform for every topic, for people from any country — and what makes it different from other forums and social networks.

Muhamor is a community platform for every topic — tech, games, science, money, health, relationships, hobbies, film, music, books, travel, careers. It is organised into communities, each with topic categories. People write in their own language — any of 31 — and read others in machine translation. The interface is in English and Russian.

Two kinds of publications

  • Articles — what you learned. A guide, a review, a story with results.
  • Discussions — what you want to figure out. A question, a comparison, a call for experience.

Under every publication there are comments with replies. In a discussion, the author can mark the comment that solved the problem as the helpful answer: it is then quoted right under the question, and the full comment stays in the discussion.

What makes it different

  • Trust is earned. New accounts start with strict limits that relax as other members find your contributions useful. See trust levels.
  • Moderation is explained. Every restriction comes with written reasons and a way to appeal. The numbers are on the transparency page.
  • Ads are labelled publications, not banners that follow you around.
  • Points for usefulness instead of karma. Points come from upvotes by established members, helpful answers and editors' picks; they show who has helped most and never buy trust. See points.
  • Paid for by Premium and ads. Muhamor earns from Premium subscriptions and labelled self-serve ads, not by selling your data.

A point-by-point comparison is in How Muhamor differs from Reddit and classic forums.

Reading is free and needs no account. You only need one to write, vote and report.
