How ads work here
The rules are the same for everyone, ads included.
Every placement is labelled “Ad” and shows who the advertiser is. Ads are placed by topic, and on the home page by language — we never profile readers. Comments under them stay open, and advertisers cannot delete criticism. All links are marked as sponsored; ads earn no points and never enter rankings. And we do not sell advertising aimed at audiences in Russia.
No gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, miracle cures, adult content, weapons or political ads. The full list is in the advertising policy.
Advertiser questions
Can I target an audience?
You choose the topic category, or the home page of one language. We do not target ads using personal data, profiling or sensitive data.
How does the review work?
A moderator reviews every placement before it goes live and may ask you for changes, proof of claims or licences first. If it is rejected, the payment is refunded in full.
What do you not accept?
Gambling, get-rich-quick and unlicensed investment schemes, miracle cures and prescription drugs, adult content, weapons, tobacco, counterfeit goods, political ads and anything illegal in the EU. The full list is in the advertising policy.
Can I advertise to readers in Russia?
No. We do not sell advertising targeted at audiences in the Russian Federation. Russian-language ads for readers elsewhere are welcome under the same rules.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes, Stripe issues a receipt for every payment. EU businesses can enter a VAT number for reverse charge where it applies.
What if you remove my ad?
If we remove a placement through our fault, unused days are refunded pro rata. If it breaks the policy or the law, there is no refund, but you receive a statement of reasons and can appeal.
Can I talk to someone about a bigger campaign?
Yes. Write to hello@muhamor.com with the topic, dates and budget, and a person will reply.
