Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Muhamor. Please read them together with the community rules and the privacy policy. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

1. Who provides the service

The service is provided by Uravia OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 17631710), address: Tornimäe tn 5, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia. Contact: hello@muhamor.com. See the imprint for details.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Paid features (Premium, purchases, advertising and author payouts) are only available to adults with full legal capacity.
  • An account belongs to one person. Use a working email address and keep your password secure; we recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Staff accounts must use it.
  • Your nickname is public. It must not imitate another person, organisation or our staff.
  • You may delete your account at any time in the account settings. You can also export your data there.

3. Your content

  • You keep the rights to everything you publish. You confirm that you have the right to publish it and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
  • You grant Uravia OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt for display (for example resize images) and machine translate your content, and to distribute it on and through the service, for as long as the content is on the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept for legal reasons or backups for a limited time.
  • Comments form part of a shared conversation. When you delete your account, your content is deleted or anonymised as described in the privacy policy, so that other people's replies remain understandable.
  • Content written by other users is their own opinion. Information on medical, financial and legal topics is not professional advice.

4. Moderation and automated tools

To keep conversations useful we use the measures described in the community rules:

  • Trust levels and limits. New accounts have stricter limits; links from newcomers are pre-moderated. Limits are counted per account, device and network.
  • Automated spam detection. Signals such as near-duplicate texts, mass links and reports add risk points within a time window. When automated sanctions are enabled, crossing the threshold triggers the next step of the sanction ladder. Automated decisions are always labelled as such, and a person reviews them on appeal. A permanent ban is only ever issued by a person.
  • Human moderation. Moderators may hide content, restrict features and issue sanctions. Every action is logged with its reason.
  • Statement of reasons. When we restrict your content or account, we tell you what was restricted, why, which rule applies, whether automated means were used, and how to challenge the decision.
  • Appeals. You can appeal any decision within six months through the internal complaint system. A different moderator reviews it. You may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act or to a court.

Anyone can notify us of illegal content, see reporting illegal content.

5. Machine translation

We may machine translate publications and comments into other languages offered on the site. Translations are labelled, may contain mistakes and do not change the original. The original text always prevails.

6. Points

Points are an internal measure of useful activity. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and are not electronic money. We may adjust balances obtained through abuse or errors and may change how points are earned and spent with notice.

7. Premium, purchases and payments

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Prices for consumers in the EU include VAT. Premium is a subscription that renews automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and it stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Paid articles and Premium are digital content and services supplied immediately. When you buy, you expressly agree to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the supply has started. This does not affect your rights if the content is defective or does not match its description; for paid articles see the refund rules in the paid content terms.
  • Premium never lifts protective limits or sanctions.

8. Advertising

Sponsored publications are clearly labelled, show who the advertiser is and who paid for them, and follow the advertising policy. We do not use personal data or profiling to target advertising.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and secure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We are not responsible for content posted by users, but we act on notices as described in these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, following the sanction ladder and with a statement of reasons, unless the law requires immediate action.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts. We will announce material changes to these terms on the site and by email at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law sooner.
