How trust levels work
From spore to mighty mushroom — the four levels, how to get each one and what it unlocks.
Your account grows like a mushroom. The more useful you are to others, the more the platform trusts you, and the fewer limits you meet.
| Level | Name | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| L0 | Spore | Signed up, email not confirmed yet |
| L1 | Sprout | Confirmed email |
| L2 | Young mushroom | 3 days on the site, 10 comments or 2 publications, upvotes from 5 different members (L2+), no active sanctions |
| L3 | Mighty mushroom | 30 days on the site, 20 positively rated publications and comments, no sanctions in the last 30 days |
What each level unlocks
- Sprout (L1) — publish, comment and vote within careful limits; publications and comments with links are reviewed first.
- Young mushroom (L2) — normal limits, links without pre-moderation, your reports carry more weight.
- Mighty mushroom (L3) — the highest limits and the right to help moderators spot spam.
Good to know
- Levels are calculated automatically every hour.
- Upvotes from new accounts and from accounts linked to yours (same device or network) do not count.
- Money can't buy a level. Premium does not change your trust.
- A moderator can lower a level that is being abused. You will get the reasons and can appeal.
