Securing your account with 2FA

Turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app and keep recovery codes safe.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a six-digit code from an app on your phone in addition to your password. Even if your password leaks, nobody can sign in without the phone.

Turn it on

  1. Open Two-factor authentication in your account.
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Aegis, 2FAS, Google Authenticator, 1Password…).
  3. Enter the code the app shows.
  4. Save the recovery codes somewhere safe — offline is best. Each code works once if you lose the phone.

Staff and moderators must use 2FA.

Lost your phone?

Sign in with a recovery code and set up 2FA again on the new phone. No recovery codes either? Write to hello@muhamor.com from your account's email address; we will verify that it is you before switching anything off.

Think someone got in?

Change your password right away, turn on 2FA and tell us at hello@muhamor.com.
